🏁 iRacing 2026 Season 2 is Here: What You Need to Know

The green flag has dropped on iRacing's 2026 Season 2, and it's bringing a massive haul of new content, physics overhauls, and user interface upgrades. Whether you're turning laps on one of our custom Rocky Sim Racing rigs or grinding out safety rating on a starter wheel, this update has something that will change how you hit the track.

Here is a breakdown of the biggest additions and changes we are most excited about for this season.

🚗 Fresh Metal in the Garage

This season adds three major vehicles to the roster:

  • Audi RS3 LMS Gen2 TCR: The touring car class just got a lot more interesting. The Gen2 RS3 replaces the previous legacy model and comes rain and AI-ready right out of the box. It is an absolute blast to drive and an easy favorite for the season.
  • NASCAR Truck RAM: Matching the real-world 2026 Craftsman Truck Series, the RAM joins the fleet as the fourth manufacturer.
  • NASCAR Cup Series Next Gen Chevrolet Camaro ZL1: Updated visual specs to match the 2026 real-world counterpart.

🛣️ Hitting the Streets and Rescanned Classics

  • St. Petersburg Grand Prix: This brand-new 1.808-mile Florida street circuit is tight, technical, and entirely unforgiving. Turn 1 is going to be an absolute lap-one battleground.
  • Barber Motorsports Park (Rescanned): Built completely from scratch with brand-new scan data, Barber looks and feels better than ever. The old layout has been retired, but existing owners get the new version for free.
  • Short Track Refreshes: Lanier, Langley, and USA International all received sweeping, ground-up art overhauls.

🌧️ Physics, Rain, and Rubber

iRacing continues to refine its handling models. The TCR and GTE classes received massive physics overhauls this season, including updated wet and dry tire models and a redesigned braking system featuring a rear proportioning valve for the TCRs.

Rain racing is also expanding, with the new Audi RS3, the Lotus 49, and the Vintage IMSA class (Nissan GTP ZX-T and Audi 90 GTO) all getting wet-weather enabled.

📊 Upgraded HUD and Telemetry Tools

For the data nerds out there, the in-sim interface got a serious upgrade:

  • Throttle & Brake Timeline: A brand-new widget that visualizes your pedal inputs as a scrolling timeline graph. Having real-time visualization of input history is incredibly powerful for optimizing lap times, tying in perfectly with the kind of deep telemetry analysis our upcoming AI race engineer application relies on.
  • HUD Layout Profiles: You can now create, save, and easily swap HUD layouts specific to individual cars or scenarios (like a specific layout just for endurance or wet weather races).
  • Visual Spotter: A great accessibility feature that provides visual cues for cars in your blind spots if you are running a single-monitor setup.
